I tell myself or like imagine a story. Or like I’m a character in the story. They mostly involve anime or video game characters. Usually about survival and fighting. It’s stupid but effective.
I will generally just go over the same story parts again. Sometimes I get somewhere new but usually similar stuff happens. I think the repetition helps me fall asleep.
As for waking up: Messing with the temperature works wonders.
